What electronic components are needed to control the buoys?

We have designed a second controller to pilot the buoys, to replace, if desired, the existing joystick.
We designed this new controller to overcome 3 limitations of the existing joystick:
Improve the controller's battery life by increasing it from 2*300 mAh to 1500 mAh
Improve screen readability with a much larger screen
Immediate access to a buoy, without cycling between the 8 possible buoys
